Melbourne Cricket Club wins 2011 Chefs Table
Congratulations to chefs Blair Humphrey and Adriano Biondi of the Melbourne Cricket Club for winning Gold in Victoria’s Chef’s Table 2011 Competition! About Chef's Table Clubs Victoria member clubs may enter a team of two people (chefs, cooks, apprentices or a combination). Teams are required to submit a three course menu to meet a set criteria, the major one being ingredients to cost no more than $18.00 (+GST) per person. A list of finalists has been shortlisted from all entries received, based on the appeal, innovation and balance of the menus submitted. Each finalist will be required to prepare the three course meal for under $18.00 per person as detailed in their submitted menu, for a minimum of 10 guests plus the head judge. The guests will include a head judge who will dine in the kitchen whilst observing the chefs at work and two tasting judges who will dine at the table with the other eight guests. The remaining guests can be made up of anyone else the host club wishes to invite and sponsor representatives if requested by ClubsVIC. All food must be prepared and cooked in the clubs kitchen on the day/night of the tasting.
